What do you think of an Apple iPhone, the iPods of cellular phones?

It's projected that 460 million cell phones will be sold in 2006. And now Apple wants a bite of that pie. The picture above, from business2.com, is a concept image of the iPhone . It will most likely be introduced at Macworld January 2007.

Forbes reports on 11.14.06
Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd (2317.TW) has secured contracts from Apple Computer for 12 mln mobile handsets that also function as music players, the Commercial Times quoted industry sources as saying.
Apple hopes to tap into the 60 million iPod buyers each quarter to market the new iPhone. And hopefully it will fare better than the failed Motorola ROKR with iTunes.

Apple faces heavy competition from established brands like Sony Ericsson, which has a popular line of Walkman branded phones.

Will iTunes and the iPod connection be enough to make the iPhone a success?
