The 2008 Skyline is on the horizon. This would be a good time to see the history of this Japanese supercar. Here's a video mainly focusing on the R32, R33, and R34 Skylines.
The new R35 GT-R is NOT a Skyline, and is not based on the Skyline. See quote from the official Nissan media website: "This is the first GT-R not based on a mass-volume Nissan vehicle (the last GT-R was based on the Skyline). That gave design director Shiro Nakamura, product chief designer Hiroshi Hasegawa and their team a great deal of freedom to create Japan's ultimate supercar."
Here is the finalized version of the 2009 xmas tree layout using an MTH Premier R40 Subway set, Lionel Fastrack, MTH Graduated Trestle System, and MTH Realtrax Trestle Set. Here you can see how close the train is to the upper deck when it has to go under. Here is the upper deck view of the spiral. And here is the lower deck vantage point. This was the 1st version, but due to the incline of the spiral it's better to have the train go down on the steep grade.
