Mercedes Benz's Paris to Beijing Rally - 8450 miles@34 mpg



36 Mercedes Benz E320 with diesel engines trekked from Paris to Beijing. It was a based on a 1907 transcontinental rally but in reverse. The winner of the rally completed it only using around 34mpg of diesel fuel!

Congratulations to MB and their diesel technology. I can't wait to buy a diesel fueled car.

This was the 1st version, but due to the incline of the spiral it's better to have the train go down on the steep grade.
